The Douglas Heat basketball stadium was packed to the rafters for the club’s come-and-try day on Sunday.

This was one of the biggest turnouts in recent memory, as junior players from 4-year-old beginners to under-18 state championship players mingled for a day of activities in the lead-up to the new season.

The 4-7-year-old Aussie Hoopers kicked off the day with some fun introductory drills, followed by three-on-three games for all ages and a half-court shoot out.

The day was topped off with a “king of the court” mixed social game.
