Students and seniors hit it off at the first event of the 2025 Senior Buddies Program, bonding over stories of life before smartphones, old-school milk deliveries, and music on vinyl.

Residents from Oz Care joined the 5/6KW class for their very first buddies session of the year, and it was a hit.

Students proudly shared their history presentations about what life was like in the 1940s, 50s and 60s.

After the presentations, students and their buddies created colourful WordArt name tags and tried out some fun bubble art.

Market Day

Meanwhile, the school also came alive with Market Day, hosted by the grade 5/6 students as part of their learning in Economics and Business.

Students set up their own stalls and ran them like real businesses. There were tasty baked goods, bubble tea, hair wraps, a silent disco, a human claw machine, and even a “Wet a Teacher” station.

The whole school joined in, and the 5/6 students worked out their profits by counting what they spent and earned.

It was a fun-filled week of learning, laughter and teamwork for the entire school community.
