The latest Newsport Daily Print edition is out on the streets and it includes all the stuff we love in the Douglas Shire… Carnivale, Crocs and Community among them.

Joining the splash of Carnivale colour on the front as a call goes out to community groups and businesses to nominate their float in the Carnivale Parade is a call to cull the number of crocs to reduce numbers so there is an “acceptable risk” that you will not be chomped by a croc if you go for a swim in Far North Queensland.

It is sure to raise plenty more chat about the delicate balance of living a life in FNQ with the natives!

Also making news is a cap on the price of beer and a look at how the recent Federal Budget seems to have forgotten to look at Douglas Shire.

We bring more highlights of the Port Douglas Carnivale program and plenty more entertainment options, business features and What’s On around the region and we have packed the back pages full of sports and socials for your enjoyment.

You can pick up a copy of Newsport Daily Print for free from the following outlets: Mossman Newsagency, Woolworths, Mossman Print, Mossman Bowls, Mossman Hardware, Council Chambers, Cooya and Newell Beach Takeaways, Wonga Beach Servo, Daintree Village Cafe, Mason’s Cafe and, Port Douglas, IGA, Dulce Cafe, PD Newsagency, Coles, Newsport Office.
