A rolling good time for seniors at Mossman Bowls
SENIORS WRAP

The Port Douglas and District Probus Club traded their usual morning tea for something a little more active on Friday, March 21, heading to Mossman Bowls Club for a fun-filled afternoon of barefoot bowling.
For many of the club’s members - seniors from across the Douglas Shire - it was their first time trying the relaxed version of the classic game.
But it didn’t take long for everyone to get into the swing of things, with bowls gliding across the green and plenty of laughter shared throughout the day.
A total of 18 members took part on the green, while five more cheered them on from the sidelines.
It was a fantastic turnout, especially for a club that’s still growing, with about three quarters of the membership involved.
Whether you're a local senior or simply looking to connect with others in the community, the Probus Club continues to offer social and engaging events in the Douglas region.
The next meeting is set for 9.30am on April 28 at The Tin Shed, the usual gathering place for this growing and active club.
