The Giggles: Douglas Shire's favourite musical trio making waves

Local band “The Giggles” are not your typical musical group - they embody joy and enthusiasm that lights up every gathering in the Douglas Shire.

Since their debut in 2022, The Giggles have quickly become a beloved staple among children and families in the area.

Made up of the lively trio Jesse, Thomas, and Charlie, and accompanied by their devoted Support Worker Cory, this spirited band has transformed their passion for The Wiggles' music into a delightful experience that connects with audiences of every age.

Their musical journey kicked off at the MyTime Group in 2022, a supportive playgroup designed for children with disabilities.

It didn't take long for word to spread about their incredible performances. Fast forward to today, and The Giggles are booked a year in advance for events like Under 8's Days at local primary schools, as well as community favourites such as Light Up the Park and Child Protection Week.

Decked out in their exclusive band T-shirts (for members only), The Giggles roll up in their very own Big Red Car at performances. With surprise visits from characters like Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, and Henry the Octopus, The Giggles captivate children and adults alike, eliciting singing and dancing.

In an exciting highlight from late 2023, the group set off to Cairns to catch a live performance by The Wiggles at the Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC). The term 'excited' pales in comparison to the anticipation and thrill experienced by the group, who even had the chance to have their pictures taken with the original Big Red Car.
