After 12 months of renovations, Club Mossman, as it will now be known, is almost ready to reveal its fresh and modern look. Complete with a brand new sports bar, two dining areas, state of the art gaming room, function space and cafe area, the upgrades have solidified the establishment as more than just a bowls club but a community hub.

From the layout to the furniture and even the light fittings, everything inside the popular Mossman premises has been renovated, redesigned or repositioned to maximise floor space and create different areas within the one setting.

Club Mossman Secretary Manager, Greg “Harry” Potter, said it was their goal to make sure there was “something for everyone”. “Inclusivity was really important to us in the design process. We’ve made sure each section has its own feel and atmosphere,” he explained.

He also went on to say that it was the open-mindedness of the club’s members that made the renovations possible. “Our membership base is a lot more progressive these days and has enabled us to achieve all of this”.

With over 2,000 members, Club Mossman has evolved beyond a traditional bowls club to become a true community hub, offering inclusive entertainment every night but still offering the same value that you’d expect from a bowls club.

Club Mossman Head of Marketing, Melissa Di Pietro, said it was important for the club to pay homage to their past while improving for the future. “We’re definitely still a bowls club and we want to honour our past and where we’ve come from but we’ve grown to become so much more than that,” she said.

The aesthetics aren’t the only thing that got a facelift with the Club Mossman kitchen also given a revamp. A delicious new menu is on the way which Ms Di Pietro promises will include all the old favourites with a selection of exciting additions. The onsite cafe will also offer an alternative with a selection of sandwiches, wraps and cakes that perfectly accompany a great cup of barista made coffee.

While there are still a few final touches to be made, the majority of the renovations are expected to be complete by early December, with the first major event to bring it all in is Melbourne Cup on November 5th where the brand new TAB-equipped sports bar will be put to its first test.

As the undeniable ‘Hub of Mossman’, punters can expect a lively vibe every night of the week. “We want to provide entertainment,” said Mr Potter. “People can come out here any night of the week and know that there'll be something happening”.
