A host of global online content producers and influencers have been showcasing picture-postcard Far North Queensland scenery in the past year to millions of followers.

Australians leading the charge to be filmed and photographed in paradise include former professional wrestler Tenille Dashwood - known on social media sites as @realtenilledashwood - who has 1.4 million Instagram followers.

Another Aussie adventure traveller with a huge online profile, Cam Bostock (@cambostock), has also been celebrating his adventures hiking in northern Queensland’s high country with his more than 610,000 devoted fans, while British, Indian, Chinese and Singaporean internet celebrities have also joined in the party at Instagrammable spots across the region.

The recently released Tourism Tropical North Queensland annual report profiles more than 10 creators and influencers who have visited the region in the past year or so.

One of those showcased is Port Douglas-based content creator Lisa Keller, who has been running the site @kellerdiaries on Instagram for just over a year, where she highlights “hidden gems”, “tips” and “photography” from the region.

“I started the page just to document my life up here,” Ms Keller says.

“There’s so much cool stuff.”

She has been gradually building her supporter base on the site, which is designed to help travellers find reliable information about the best things to do and the best spots to go in FNQ.

And what is Ms Keller’s pick of the destinations?

She says there is no going past the Great Barrier Reef, with Port Douglas having easy access to some of the most beautiful sites to visit along the entire Queensland coast.

International online stars to celebrate the region include London-based travel blogger Emma Cooke (@petitieblondine), who has more than 520,000 followers on her TikTok and Instagram accounts.

Ms Cooke recently visited tropical North Queensland for her honeymoon, checking in on a host of stunning locations including the reef and rainforest.

Other international guests to visit include Singaporean influencers and actors Edwin Goh (@edwininja) and Rachel Wan (@iamrachelwan), and Chinese influencer Little Dumpling (xiaobaoza), according to the TTNQ annual report.

More Aussie content creators to feature include Gold Coast-based Ali Macrae (@alixmacrae), accessibility campaigner Sam Bloom (@samjbloom) and Perth-based travel adventurer Jake Reid (@indeedjakereid).

A four-time world para surfing champion, Mrs Bloom is the subject of the film Penguin Bloom, starring Naomi Watts, about her stirring recovery from an accident in Thailand which left her paralysed from the chest down.
