Police have commenced an investigation following the death of a 42-year-old man at Mossman last night, November 28.

Initial information indicates that at around 11:20pm, emergency services were called to a park near Foxton Avenue following reports of a man being located unconscious.

Upon arrival, officers located the 42-year-old Mossman man unresponsive with critical injuries, who was later declared deceased at the scene.

A crime scene has been declared, and a 25-year-old man is assisting police.

Both men were known to each other, and there is no ongoing concern to other members of the community in Mossman.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with information that may assist investigations to come forward.
