Mossman State High School Year 12 students celebrated the end of their high schooling with a colour run event.

After 13 years of schooling the last bell has finally rung for the class of '24. Mixed emotions of joy and sadness spread throughout the group on the day of their recent farewell ceremony. From here the sky is the limit for the 68 graduating students.

To be a part of this group was personally quite amazing. Together we began our time at Mossman State High School in 2019; through COVID and cyclones we all made it together. Reflecting on my time at MSHS I can definitely say it was great to live in a community like ours with such a great school. For the years I spent at Mossman High, I was given a foundation for my future by the staff and teachers who went above and beyond to provide to us.

Below are a few comments from my fellow students on our recent graduation.

Jasmine Allery –

“Honestly it doesn’t feel quite real yet that I’ve finished High School. What really stands out in my memory is how close we all became as a cohort,”.

“I will be forever thankful to the staff as Mossman High and I couldn’t be prouder of myself and my fellow students for completing this chapter in our lives,”.

Amy Hardy –

“It feels surreal to be finished to be honest. Looking back it is a bittersweet feeling for it all to over after so many years,”.

Graduating is something we have all looked forward to and some are glad it is over while others may feel it all happened to fast. We have been through countless exams, written more essays than we can remember, but all out hard work has paid off.

Now as we all embark on our unique journeys into adulthood, we can look back on these High School years with pride and be thankful for the time we spent at school and the lessons that we learned.
