The next generation of Douglas Shire Lego Masters stars now have the tools and motivation to match it with the best thanks to the generosity of a few key friends in the Far North.

Leichhardt MP Warren Entsch joined forces with Josh from Jabalbina having learnt Alexandra Bay State School students’ biggest, most immediate wish was to acquire more lego in a bid to re-open their lego room.

Shortly afterwards Warren and Josh through a generous mutual sponsorship purchased $700 worth of brand new lego, more than enough for the young students to harness their skills ahead of who knows, maybe a future appearance on their favourite TV show Lego Masters down the track.

The pair were greeted with nothing but smiles and high fives earlier this morning upon gifting the lego to the Daintree Coast students.

"The kids can take all the credit for this. I asked them what they really wanted and they said a lego room," Mr Entsch told Newsport from Alexandra Bay State School today.

"It was up to the kids to tell us what they wanted. They sent me two and a half pages of the lego they wanted including the code and all the prices.

"From my perspective it makes a wonderful difference. It's nice to be able to come out to these kids and give them something they really value and appreciate.

"I think it's absolutely important we show our support for these communities, to show that we are aware of what they are going through and the situation they are in.

"I think that my presence here offers a sense of accessibility for the families. And shows that I'm not just a figure they see online.

"I want them to feel like they can come to me with questions or requests for what they need."

To make things extra special Lego Masters producers are sending up used props from the show to be added to the School's lego room.
