TRIPADVISOR AWARDS: Daintree croc tour, snorkel charter and our best beach featured

One of the world’s leading travel review sites has again featured the far north highly in its travellers’ favourites – and a Daintree popular crocodile and wildlife tour operator is among the top go-to recommendations.

The 2024 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards have placed the iconic Solar Whisper Daintree River Crocodile and Wildlife Cruise at ninth place in the world in its Bucket List Experiences category, based on reviews and ratings over a year.

Solar Whisper has nearly 100,000 Instagram followers around the world and its owner David White is a well-known voice in the crocodile conservation movement.

Tripadvisor’s blurb for the tour advises travellers to “hop aboard Australia’s Solar Whisper Daintree River Crocodile and Wildlife Cruise for an eco-friendly animal adventure on one of the country’s prettiest rivers. 

“Enjoy close-up encounters with crocs (but not too close) and birds, while you learn about the animals, the area, and the conservation efforts from a passionate and humorous guide.”

Four Mile Beach, ABC Snorkel also awarded 

Meanwhile in the Travellers’ Awards Pacific section, Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas is again near the top of its ‘Best of the Best’ beaches, placing fourth in the Pacific region.

Also, ABC Snorkel Charters Port Douglas has again featured in the Awards, this time taking out number three spot in the Australia – Top Experiences category.

“ABC Snorkel Charters Port Douglas Snorkelling max 12 passengers, you can dive into a personalized snorkelling adventure in crystal-clear waters,” Tripadvisor’s website says.
