The spirit of giving shines brightly in the Douglas Shire this holiday season, as the local community united to support those in need through Ray White Port Douglas’s annual Little Ray of Giving initiative.

A cherished tradition, the campaign brought joy and much-needed assistance to families and individuals across the region. This year’s efforts carried added significance as the community moved forward from the challenges of Cyclone Jasper.

In partnership with the Mayor's Christmas Appeal, which supports Mossman Support Services and the Port Douglas Community Network Services, the initiative showcased the strength and power of local collaboration.

Mark Flinn, Principal of Ray White Port Douglas, noted how meaningful it was to see the community rally in a positive way.

“Cyclone Jasper impacted our community this time last year, so it was especially heartwarming for both our team and the wider community to come together this year,” he said.

“Delivering presents in person, assisting Mossman Support Services with running their shop, and meeting the families and individuals who would benefit from our gifts truly made this year’s initiative meaningful,” Mr Flinn said.

The Little Ray of Giving campaign continues to grow each year, with both Ray White Port Douglas’s team and the local community rallying behind the cause.

Christmas Auction Event

The spirit of celebration continued with Ray White Port Douglas’s recent highly successful Christmas Auction Event, which saw three properties sell under the hammer for above asking price - the perfect way to wrap up this festive season.

“The auction event allowed us to meet our target of meeting over 1,000 potential

buyers at our open homes for the year,” Mr Flinn said.

This is an amazing effort from our team and demonstrates that our strategies and market approach are effective.”

Across 350 open homes held this year, Ray White showcased the diverse range of properties available throughout the Douglas Shire while also introducing newcomers to the unique attributes that make the region so special.

As the year wraps up, Ray White Port Douglas extends heartfelt thanks to the community for their support and collaboration.

“We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at Ray White Port Douglas,” Mr Flinn added.
