It was on a beautifully sunny day in Port Douglas that 140 local ladies gathered for the annual NicNak shed Fashion Parade.  After 10 years, this stylish event has now become a 'must do' in the diary for Port Douglas's fashion conscious ladies.

Held at the stunning Pullman Sea Temple guests were welcomed with bubbles, delicious canapes and a stunning vista across the pool whilst swallows swooped past.

The models covered all demographics from little Mahli, aged 6, who worked the catwalk like she was born on it. Professional models showed how to strut with style, all topped off by glamorous quinquagenarians, septuagernarians and sexagenerians. Jeanie, sporting turquoise long hair showed how being stylish and beautiful wasn't down to age but attitude. All the models, Tracey, Louise, Erin, Vashnee, Jeannie, Serena, Benita and Rosie modelled and presented the clothes with such pzazz it proved that pre-loved clothes really can be reincarnated into stylish wear.

The event was a wonderful way of bringing local ladies together to create a positive outcome.  Samantha Cross, local published author, delivered an uplifting speech about women, sisterhood and how we should spread love and kindness to ourselves and to support our 'sisters' in kinship.

Such was the generosity of the donors and the buyers that the event raised an amazing $3,000 for support of the local Neighbourhood Centre.  Two Camilla dresses modelled in the show raised over $600!
