As the winter break draws to a close, a new chapter unfolds for our local students. With pencils at the ready, they eagerly return to the familiar halls of their schools.

Preppies' memorable 100th school day - Port Douglas State School

Excitement filled the air at Port Douglas State School as the Prep students commemorated a significant milestone this Wednesday - their first 100 days of school.

According to Principal Douglas Barnes, these little legends have shown remarkable progress throughout the year.

“Our little legends have come so far this year and surprise us everyday with their inquisitive minds, kind natured and love of school,” Mr Barnes said.

“We look forward to many more milestones in their education.”

Mathematics excursions - Mossman State High School

In a recent endeavour to enhance their mathematical skills, a group of Mossman High Year 7, 8, and 9 students embarked on two engaging mathematics excursions in Cairns.

Accompanied by their dedicated teachers, Nadine Moody and Scott Jeffery, the students delved into the world of interactive maths challenges during the Mathematics Engagement/Enrichment Days.

Throughout the excursion, students showed great enthusiasm and actively embraced the mathematical challenges presented.

Principal Annie Murrie commended the students for their dedication and commitment to enhancing their mathematical skills.

First day back at St Augustine’s Primary

The first day back at St Augustine's Primary School brought an atmosphere of joy and anticipation.

Mrs Richelle Woods expressed her delight in witnessing the return of students for Term 3, their beaming smiles filling the school with warmth and positivity.
