The latest edition of the Port Douglas Magazine is now in the market with a focus on living in Port Douglas.

Issue 34 of Newsport’s sister publication arrived fresh from the press at the office yesterday. The brand new edition is packed with everything about tropical style, living and holidaying in Port Douglas.

The Port Douglas Magazine is tropical Australia's premier lifestyle magazine and is being widely distributed in-room, throughout Port Douglas and Cairns as well as Queensland regional centres and major city distributions in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

The magazine's most valuable distribution however occurs everyday when hundreds of magazine are taken by visitors returning home.

The magazine's Publisher Sam Cullen, says for years we have enjoyed watching the journey of the magazines travelling home with holiday makers into the hands of their friends and family.

Raine Ward, owner of local boutique ‘Maker’, is an advertiser in the Port Douglas Magazine and in the latest issue she provided the photography for the ‘Woman of Douglas’ editorial.

Ms Ward said that the latest issue is not only visually stunning, there are so many interesting articles to read through. “I always get so excited when a new edition of the Port Douglas Magazine is released”, she said. “The team does a fantastic job showcasing our unique area.

“Even as a local, I always find new and exciting things happening in the area. It is always an easy read with tons of local secrets to help travellers enjoy the best of what Far North Queensland has to offer.

“We are very lucky to live in a community that strives to collaborate and boost each other up. There is no question when it comes to being a part of the Port Douglas Magazine. We have people from all over Australia who have spotted our store in the magazine.

“Our store is in a tricky location to find on the internet so by having us showcased in the magazine, we have had a major increase in customers who have used it to seek us out.

“Maker was lucky enough to be a main article in issue 32 last year and we are still meeting customers who compliment our story and tell us that is how they discovered us.

“We are very grateful to have the Port Douglas Magazine really shining a light on the incredible businesses in our tropical region and helping boost interaction that may have not been there otherwise.”
