Round two of the FNQRL season officially kicked off last weekend with Mossman Junior Rugby League hosting their first home game of the season.

A further four home games are scheduled for the year.

"We are really proud as a club to have teams in every age group from under- 6s-14s and for the first time in a long time, an under-17s team,” President Dan Hober said.

“There is a lot of local talent and these kids are the future of the sport.”

The club said it would love for the local community to get behind them and invite everyone across the Douglas Shire to come along to games.

The club said families are also encouraged to bring kids along if they are interested in playing, as most teams are not at capacity and everyone is welcome.
