Oh wow 3000 nation wide out of 26.66 mil. So 0.01125% of Aus Absolutely not, there is a very good reason why dogs aren't allowed in these areas. Just because some random doesn’t like it, they start a petition.

Leith Keegan

Make sure you give a copy of the petition to the feral dogs, cats, foxes, cane toads, rats, deer, pigs, etc that already live in our national parks. Apparently a dog on a leash is a bigger problem, right?

Cameron Walton

Yes, absolutely. But only on a leash at all times.

Deborah Christopher

Have we slipped back to April 1??? NO!!!

John Sullivan

No, the scent of dogs keeps the wildlife away from walking tracks so they are harder to see and experience. Dog urine is strong and can harm native plants and allow weed species that like higher nutrient an advantage.

Sarah Smith

Yes! On a lead. Would make a day out or going camping so much easier

Moo Man

100% should be allowed. Just make it a permit system like most parks. Gone are the days where everyone has mongrel dangerous breeds. Most people travelling Australia have small dogs these days and at the end of the day we the public pay the taxes to maintain these parks and shouldnt be restricted from them.

Anthony Christopher Renwick

Being that most parks have multiple camping areas it’s not hard to designate one for people with dogs put some rules in place and give it a try. It’s only gonna be the 1%ers that will screw it up.

Tracey Jones

Yes, but there needs to be rules such a specific campsites and must be kept on a leash as not to disturb the wildlife

I thought the covid cleanse was happening from here to Brisbane? Nothing like some flooding, cyclones and rain for over a year to send them back to Melbourne and Sydney. The price of everything is going to come down surely? It's absolutely ridiculous. Also aren't we meant to have a recession! People have short term memories and forgotten how Port fared during the GFC  If I lost the house I rent I'd leave.

Couldn't agree more!!! Millions and squillions of money thrown around and nothing positive and productive will come out of it. Pilfering public money is a political spectacle and if a business did the advertising in this way it would be held accountable. Anyone else fed up with the nonsense coming out of the mouths of these election "promises"????

Bev Rossignoli

Syndicate road at Pollocks bridge is a dam disgrace. Been like that since Jasper.
