The countdown is officially on for Savannah Sounds Port Douglas, with just weeks to go until the vibrant three-day music event transforms Rex Smeal Park into a coastal stage from May 23 to 25.

Set against the stunning backdrop of palm trees and the Coral Sea, the festival - presented by Douglas Shire Council, with Newsport as major sponsor, will bring together some of Australia’s most iconic music acts for an unforgettable long weekend in the tropics.

Leading the lineup are indie-pop chart-toppers Sheppard, blues-rock legends The Black Sorrows, and the unmistakable voice of Glenn Shorrock (Little River Band). 

They’ll be joined by crowd favourites including The Wolfe Brothers, country powerhouse Max Jackson, and electronic duo Kairos Kin.

The festival kicks off on Friday night, May 23, with the high-energy DJ Sounds party, featuring Zoe Badwi, Andy Van, and Jolyon Petch.

Saturday’s main stage concert on May 24 will showcase performances from Kairos Kin, Max Jackson, The Wolfe Brothers, Sheppard, and The Black Sorrows.

Then on Sunday, May 25, the festival wraps up with a full day of music featuring The Katie Richards Band, Eddie Skiba, El Moth, Little Steely Brothers, Roadtrippers, and Glenn Shorrock closing out the weekend.

And for those coming from Cairns, Reef Unlimited is offering a one-of-a-kind experience: hop aboard the new Aquarius II and enjoy a scenic ferry service to the festival on Saturday 24 May.
