Two killed in Lakeland crash
Two people have died following a single vehicle crash in Lakeland on Sunday afternoon, December 8.
Initial investigations indicate at approximately 1.50pm, a Toyota Landcruiser was travelling approximately 5km west of Lakeland on the Mulligan Highway when it left the highway and rolled into a nearby creek.
The occupants of the vehicle including the driver, a 60-year-old Hope Vale woman, and her passenger, a 59-year-old Manoora woman, died at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstance of the crash.
Douglas dingoes out and about
Two dingoes have been spotted in Port Douglas mixing it with traffic without a care, but people are being prompted to be aware, not alarmed, by the creatures. FULL STORY
