Port Douglas locals now have an extra excuse to go out for a meal thanks to a new initiative by Oaks Port Douglas Resort. In a collaboration with SR Coaches, the popular resort is offering complimentary transport to and from their Port Douglas Road location with any booking at the onsite restaurant. 

Simply book your table online for any meal from breakfast through until dinner. On the day, call SR Coaches, show your driver your booking and local ID upon pickup and you’re on your way! Once you’ve indulged in the hospitality, your ride home is just a meal receipt away.

Oaks Port Douglas Resort General Manager, Paul Parrant, said the offer is just another way they are providing for the community.

“Finding a way in and out of the resort has always been a concern for locals, so we’re doing all we can to rectify that. We truly value our local customers and this is all part of our ongoing effort to give back to the community and provide locals with somewhere different and exciting to dine”.

Mr Parrant had a clear vision when he took over the top job at Oaks Port Douglas Resort last year; to revive it back to the thriving community hub it once was. Over the past 12 months, the General Manager has implemented numerous initiatives to encourage locals back to drink, dine and play. These include local specials, Christmas giveaways and incentive programs. 

The resort also offered a helping hand to those in need during last year’s Cyclone Jasper, cementing themselves as a true part of the community that cares for its people.
