Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas, a renowned wildlife sanctuary committed to the welfare and conservation of Australian animals enjoyed success regarding the offering of complimentary admission to local tourism, hospitality and retail workers.
The program, designed to provide these hardworking professionals with a much-needed opportunity to unwind and rejuvenate amidst nature's wonders, has been met with overwhelming appreciation and support from the industry.
From May 25 to June 21 employees within the Douglas Shire working in the tourism, hospitality, and retail sectors were welcomed with open arms at Wildlife Habitat, enjoying free admission to explore the diverse and captivating wildlife exhibits.
The response from our industry peers has been nothing short of extraordinary, as they expressed their gratitude for the chance to reconnect with nature before the upcoming busy season.
"We are absolutely thrilled with the positive feedback and support we received from our tourism peers," Director of Sales & Marketing at The CaPTA Group Ben Woodward said.
"It is heart-warming to witness how appreciative they were of their rejuvenating days spent amidst the beauty of our wildlife sanctuary. We believe that everyone deserves a moment of respite and connection with nature, and we are honoured to have been able to provide that."
In addition to the complimentary admission, Wildlife Habitat further enhanced the experience for local workers by offering exclusive discounts on their renowned 'Breakfast with the Birds' and the thrilling 'Swim with the Salties' adventure. The response to these upgraded experiences was overwhelming.
The feedback from local workers has been exceptionally positive, with many hailing Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas as the best wildlife park in the region, emphasising the convenience of not having to leave Port Douglas to experience the wonders of Australian wildlife.
With the success of this initiative, Wildlife Habitat is excited to announce its intention to continue giving back to the industry in the future.
