ENTERTAINMENT
The ever-amazing Wonderland Spiegeltent will hit Port Douglas Carnivale in coming weeks to deliver circus, cabaret, comedy, burlesque, music and family shows inside her bevelled doors and velvet curtains.
Port Douglas’s Dixie Park will host Wonderland Spiegeltent over two huge weekends from May 12 to May 21.
The Wonderland Spiegeltent Festival Hub, featuring the beautiful 1930s nostalgic wooden mirrored travelling European circus tent is returning with a can’t-be-missed entertainment program as well as the licenced Sunset Bar showcasing local produce with delectable beverages.
“We are beyond excited to return to Port Douglas Carnivale,” Wonderland Spiegeltent’s director Melissa Head said.
“Audiences here have always loved our line-up of entertainment under the magical Wonderland Spiegeltent.
“From astonishing acts of acrobatic circus and sizzling cabaret to laugh-out loud comedy and kid friendly performers, there is something that caters to everyone.
“We love entertaining the visitors and locals who look forward to this annual event all year.
“We would like to thank the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand (RISE) Fund for supporting our tour and the arts and entertainment sector to reactivate after a challenging couple of years.
“We’d also love to thank our wonderful supporters and sponsors Douglas Shire Council, Port Douglas Carnivale, Tourism Port Douglas Daintree, Great Northern and De Bortoli Wines.”
