Port Douglas Crocs have begun life in the post Brad Cooper era following the announcement of the club’s new senior head coach.

Former Adelaide Crows midfielder/forward Jared Petrenko has taken the reigns of the perennial AFL Cairns powerhouse, after Cooper’s 10 year stint as former head coach.

“We are very pleased and excited to announce that former Adelaide Crows player Jared Petrenko will be the player coach for the crocs next year,” the Crocs said in a statement just moments ago.

“Having been at the Crows at AFL level for eight years and (having played) over 100 games in the SANFL Jared brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.

“As a very exciting half back we cannot wait to see him wear the Crocs colours.

“We welcome Jessie and Sebastian to the club also.”
