Game on: Douglas netball star ready to bring the heat
Northern Netball

The all-new Far North Flames are taking the court for their first preseason game on Saturday against the Queensland Suns as the Ruby North netball competition starts to kick into gear.
Mossman High School Year 12 Brooke Harold is in the squad alongside our top Far North Queensland netballers.
Harold is a long-time talent of Queensland Netball, previously captaining at the Queensland State Schoolgirls Netball Championships held in Brisbane.
She also made the Queensland Firebirds Futures Academy squad in 2024.
Harold is expected to play as a goal attack and goal scorer for the Flames in the new Ruby North series.
The new series is aiming to lift netball in northern Queensland by providing more opportunities for local athletes to develop and showcase their skills.
The new division was founded following the withdrawal of the Northern Rays from the Queensland Sapphire Series just before it was renamed the Hart Premier Netball League.
The competition will feature four teams based around North Queensland.
The first official round of the series will be on Saturday, May 24.
