A number of exciting real estate projects underway in Port Douglas are giving confidence to investors and homeowners, reinforcing the area’s reputation as a hotspot for those seeking a laid back, coastal lifestyle despite a rocky start to the year.

One such development is the highly anticipated Kaya project on Warner Street which is on track for completion in November 2025. With stage one of the build almost complete, the development is really starting to take shape giving onlookers a chance to envision the change it will bring to the area.

Raine and Horne Port Douglas Director, Travis Schumacher said he’s excited for what Kaya means for Port Douglas. “This build is going to change the whole landscape of Warner Street. It’s going to be one of the most prestigious properties in the area.”

The freehold villas, designed by renowned developer Nathan Verri, offer four bedrooms, five bathrooms, individual swimming pools, and expansive outdoor living areas, all without the hassle of body corporate fees. What makes this location even more appealing is its easy, flat access to Port Douglas' top-tier restaurants and entertainment – no hills or challenging walks, a factor that was taken into consideration when the block was purchased.

“The easy access to Macrossan Street was why we loved this block,” explained Mr Shumacher. “The location behind the main street means you’re right in the middle of town but still feel tucked away.”

Just one of the villas in the Kaya block remains available for purchase with heavy interest from investors from the get go. Early investors are rewarded with significant savings on stamp duty when buying before the completion of stage one, with Mr Schumacher saying now is the time to buy.

“The savings make it well worth getting on board in these early stages and with a lot of other exciting projects happening in the area, we know there’s a lot of confidence in the area,” he said.

These projects include the sold out Baha development on Davidson Street as well as the new build on Murphy Street, which has seen one of the largest cranes Port Douglas has ever seen brought in which locals may have noticed towering above Macrossan Street.

With such strong momentum in the market and strong visitor numbers forecast for 2025, now is the perfect time to invest in Port Douglas.

Stage One of Kaya will be complete soon. For more information on the one remaining villa, contact Travis Schumacher on 0438 119 188 or Charlie Madgwick on  0408 993 228 or visit the Raine and Horne website.
