For centuries, flowers have been used in beauty therapies for their healing properties and now, a popular local massage studio is bringing this ancient wellness practice to Macrossan Street.

Known as Chinese Massage for the past 10 years, Flower Massage, as it is so aptly called, will elevate its pre-existing offerings with a unique floral twist. By introducing flower-infused oils, the rebrand will bring the powerful anti-inflammatory and skin brightening properties into each service which can help to improve circulation as well as protect the skin from free radical damage caused by excess sun exposure.

A massage therapist for over nine years, Flower Massage owner, Gibeom Lee, said the rebrand was a result of wanting to elevate the customer experience to more than just relaxation.

“We’re still offering the same quality services but now our focus is on using the power of flowers to create a full sensory journey to enhance revitalisation,'' he said.

Using 100% flower oil in all massages, the team of highly qualified therapists also provide a range of other treatments including Chinese acupuncture and specialised Thai stretching.

“All of our staff are highly-skilled and each offer something unique,” Mr Lee explained. “Some are trained in acupuncture or Reiki, some are medical nurses or physiotherapists and have a deep understanding of the human body.”

As you step inside, you’re instantly greeted with the calming scent of natural flower oils and transported to a serene world of floral interiors. Every element, from the floral-inspired decor to the soothing treatments, work harmoniously to provide what the owner calls a “flower dream,” a rejuvenating escape for the mind and body.

With prices starting at just $49, Flower Massage prides itself on making wellbeing affordable, with Port Douglas residents entitled to $5 off any service. To take advantage of this offer, make a booking online here and be sure to bring your ID for proof of address.
