The holiday spirit is high at the Wildlife Habitat, where the animals (and the staff!) are taking centre stage in their festive ’12 Days of Christmas at Wildlife Habitat’ video series. Keeper and guide Sam Dillon takes the spotlight with his talented singing whilst social media guru and keeper Zoe Taylor shoots, edits and posts the short videos.

From an old man emu to a hungry blue tongue lizard, each day showcases a new aspect of the Wildlife Habitat with even a showcase of the eager volunteers that help keep out at the Habitat.

“Music is a part of every Christmas, so it’s great to show off our region with a FNQ twist!” Mr Dillon said.

One day of the video series even hints back to a viral reel previously posted by the Wildlife Habitat with the ‘Pink Pony Girls’ making an appearance.

“The idea for the 12 days has actually been a year in the making. It was supposed to happen last Christmas but unfortunately the weather forced us to postpone,” Ms Taylor told Newsport.

The fun video series has provided many laughs for viewers and the staff and keepers, many of them working on Christmas Day to look after the animals.

Merry Christmas to all those staff and their furry and feathered friends.
