Local sweet tooth's who can’t resist their tasty treats now have access to even more flavours and options from around the world after the opening of a new shop on Macrossan St.

The Olde Candy shop is a throwback to one of those authentic 1980s lolly shops that use to offer just about every possible candy option you could ever desire.

The new owners have relocated from the Blue Mountains and are looking forward to serving their new customer base here in the Douglas Shire.

“We’re really looking forward to our new customers and offering them a wide range of candy,” co-owner Vijay Nalla told Newsport.

“We have a lot of different candy to offer; we have sweets from America, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and of course local Aussie favourites too.

“We still have more varieties coming in as well.”

Mr Nalla revealed that sour strips have proved a popular item to buy since the shop opened just days ago.
