It’s been one year since Bright Spark Power flipped the switch on how you choose your energy and to celebrate, they are giving away free electricity.

Bright Spark Power is rewarding their current customers with ‘Happy Power’, a day of free electricity.

Non-customers can also receive a Bright Spark Power birthday reward of $50 off their electricity bill if they join before 7 May by using any local's or local businesses referral link. If you don’t yet know anyone connected to Bright Spark Power, visit C21 Port Douglas to sign up.

Bright Spark was shocked to see the limited choice in energy providers in the Far North, so last year they gave the power back to the community to be able to make a choice.

Managing Director Arran Coughlan said we wanted to make electricity easy and put customers first.

People need to be rewarded for their loyalty, not punished for it.

“It is great to continue to support Port Douglas and Cairns areas by providing choice in electricity providers to homes and businesses in the area.

“Rewarding existing customers is a key value we hold dear, that’s why we offer our best rate guarantee and simple flat rates on our Aussie Flat Rate tariff. We invite anyone in Port Douglas to get in contact via phone or email to discuss what changing electricity providers could look like for them,” said Mr Coughlan.

Bringing a fresh perspective to the energy retail market, through its simple plans and interest in the renewable energy space, Bright Spark Power’s Aussie Flat Rate is a good choice for high to medium use electricity homes and businesses.

The Aussie Flat Rate plan solves the problem of estimated bills with regulated pricing taking away confusing fees, leaving customers with just a straightforward daily supply charge and a flat rate per kWh; and the flat rate won’t change under Bright Spark Power’s Best Rate Guarantee, where the price is locked in for 12 months – unless it goes down.

Bright idea sparks powerful commitment to customer loyalty

What started as a gripe about dreadful service and undervalued customers between mates around the BBQ lead to the completely Australian owned and operated power company that openly supports and intentionally invests in local Australian suppliers and businesses.

Mr Coughlan said he was sick of the terrible service.

“I was sick of not being able to speak to one person, in Australia, to help resolve my issues, I was sick of being enticed by a provider to use them with a ‘honeymoon’ offer and then not being given the best deal when the honeymoon was over, and I was sick of sending money overseas when I was paying for electricity instead of supporting fellow Australians.

“Three of the four big energy retailers are wholly or partly foreign-owned. That is not good for any Australians. Most big energy companies have their call staff located off-shore – again not good for Australian jobs and often not very good for standards of service either.

“We want to reward our customers. Loyalty and integrity are pillars of Aussie values. That is part of what makes our country so great. We want to celebrate this on our birthday and reward everyone who has been so loyal to us thus far – and we also want to make the promise to everyone – current and potential customers – that we aren’t going to change our ways. We are in this for the long haul,” Mr Coughlan said.

Bright Spark Power’s gift of a day’s free energy to their customers on the company’s first birthday symbolises their commitment to putting customers first.
