Vie Spa takes health and wellbeing to new levels

Vie Spa has once again displayed its progressive outlook and it is encouraging Port Douglas residents to experience an iKOU ritual.
Located at the Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort and Spa, iKOU (ik-oo, Japanese verb to rest, relax and restore) is an Australian-owned supplier of unique ingredients formulated and based on organic and wild harvested Australian fruit and flower extracts.
It has an aromatherapy skin/mind/body holistic approach which makes iKOU’s offerings unique.
Born from the journey of healing a stressed skin condition, founders Naomi and Paul Whitfeld’s quest for wellness led to a passion for combining innovative, botanical skincare with conscious home spa rituals to treat skin, mind and body as a whole.
Their inspiration for iKOU came in 2007 after a blissful spa treatment in Ubud, Bali that ended in a flower petal bath.
“This is the moment that touched our lives forever and inspired us to create a brand that encourages daily rituals to bring the spa holiday feel into everyday life, creating moments to rest, relax, restore,” they said.
From humble beginnings making products in their Blue Mountains kitchen, iKOU has flourished to become the international brand it is today, synonymous with a fusion of modern, organic skincare and ancient global spa rituals that transform the way you feel.
Ms Whitfeld recently facilitated a training day with Vie Spa team members from Port Douglas, Cairns and Palm Cove.
“I was delighted to catch up with Vie Spa teams and showcase some of our newest products. I also ensured the teams are well trained and up to date.
“With three Vie Spas in the region with our signature iKOU range, it’s always a pleasure to refresh the teams’ knowledge and spend quality time together,” said Ms Whitfeld.
Pullman Port Douglas Vie Spa manager, Tania Baker, said the training day allowed for reflection of 2020 and ensure the facility is ready for 2021 and beyond.
“Our demand and forward bookings are solid and we know that our guests and regular clientele take health and well-being seriously,” she said.
